General Information

  Type: Appointed by the Committee Chairman with Committee confirmation vote.

Term: Appointed for one chartered year and can be asked to serve again.

Reports to: The Committee Chairperson

Attendance: Required to attend monthly Committee meetings.

Duties:

• Fill in for the Chairperson in their absence.    
• Serve as Social Director for the troop.    
• Interpret national and local policies to the troop.    
• Serve as a liaison to the District Commissioner's staff.  (District Commissioner Keith Underwood linkaide@gmail.com  (916) 869-4756 )
• Maintain records and encourage Adult Leaders and Junior Leaders to attend Training.    
• Maintain all records and secure all training and service knots and patches.    
• Keep a connection with the District Training Chairperson (position is currently vacant)
• This job is an appointment by the Committee Chairman.    
• Offer constructive comments and play an active role at Committee meetings.    
• Work with fellow Committee members and with the Program people for the good of the troop.
