General Information

Type:  Appointed by the Committee Chairman with Committee confirmation vote.

Term:  Appointed for one chartered year and can be asked to serve again.

Reports to:  Committee Chairman

Attendance:  Required to attend monthly Committee meetings.

Duties

• Encourage Scouts to advance in rank.
• Arrange and conduct quarterly Boards of Review.
• Work with the Committee Chairman and Scoutmaster in conducting quarterly Courts of Honor.
• Maintain advancement records for every Scout on hard and soft copy documentation.
• Develop and maintain a merit badge counselor list.

• Make a prompt report on the correct form to the council service center when a troop board of review is held.  Secure badges and certificates.
• Work with the troop scribe to maintain all Scout advancement records.
• Work with all Scouts on the Eagle rank.
• Act as the troop's coordinator for an Eagle Court of Honor.
• Offer constructive comments and play an active role at Committee meetings.
• Work with fellow Committee members and with the Program people for the good of the troop.
